Peachtree City, GA – The National Weather Service in Peachtree City reports that isolated light showers will be possible across far northeast Georgia this evening as a weak cold front moves through the region.
Once the front passes, any remaining showers will end, and temperatures will drop sharply overnight, especially north of the I-85 corridor, where lows are expected to fall into the upper 20s.
Forecasters say no wintry weather is expected, and the rest of the state will remain cool and dry under mostly clear skies. Areas south of Atlanta will see overnight lows in the 30s to near 40 degrees, while north Georgia will experience the coldest readings.
Residents are encouraged to bundle up if heading out tonight or early Thursday morning and to protect pets, plants, and pipes from the colder temperatures.
