Cook County, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) announced the arrest of a Calumet Park woman in connection with a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred earlier this month on Interstate 57 in Chicago.

According to Illinois State Police Investigations, 25-year-old Qyeenle E. Neal of Calumet Park was taken into custody and charged with Failure to Report Accident/Death (Class 1 felony) following the death of a man struck on I-57.

Authorities say the crash occurred around 4:38 a.m. on October 12, 2025, near 112th Street. A Honda sedan and another vehicle were traveling southbound when the Honda’s driver, 42-year-old Antonio Antenez-Espinoza, exited his vehicle after a collision. Police report he was then hit by a passing Nissan SUV, which did not stop after the crash. Antenez-Espinoza was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Following an extensive investigation, ISP Special Agents identified the Nissan and the suspected driver. Neal was located and arrested on October 22, 2025, and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the felony charge two days later. She remains in custody pending her first court appearance.

Authorities have not released additional details about the case.
