Cook County, IL – Cook County Sheriff’s Police are investigating a burglary that occurred early Wednesday morning at a gas station in unincorporated Maine Township.

According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 4:11 a.m. on Nov. 6 to an alarm at a gas station in the 3200 block of Central Road. When officers arrived, they found that gas station secure but discovered another one across the street had been burglarized.

Investigators say security footage showed a BMW pulling up to the gas station in the 600 block of Greenwood Avenue just minutes earlier. Three masked individuals allegedly broke the glass door, entered the store, and removed cash boxes from a video gaming machine. The suspects also took two bottles of tequila before leaving the scene.

Authorities believe the group then drove to another nearby gas station but fled when its alarm went off.
