Hartford, CT – A mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is making for dangerous travel conditions across Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, up to 2 inches of snow and sleet and ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch are expected. Hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute, especially on bridges and untreated roads.
Snowfall will transition into a wintry mix before becoming plain rain in the afternoon as temperatures rise. Commuters should allow extra time and drive carefully on icy roads.
