Hartford has recorded 14.6 inches of snow this season, near normal levels.
According to the National Weather Service Eastern Region, Hartford, Connecticut measured 14.6 inches of snowfall as of 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, compared to a normal 15.8 inches through the same date.
In Bridgeport, 12.3 inches have been recorded this season, slightly below its typical mid-February total. The regional summary shows southern New England snowfall generally tracking close to seasonal averages, in contrast to heavier accumulations reported in parts of upstate New York and northern New England.
The National Weather Service noted measurable snowfall has been observed at each primary reporting location included in the Eastern U.S. update — an uncommon seasonal benchmark across the broader region.
While totals in Connecticut remain near average, periodic winter systems have contributed to steady accumulation and routine plowing operations across the state.
For commuters, students, and municipal crews, near-normal snowfall has meant intermittent travel slowdowns during peak winter events.
The snowfall year runs from July 1 through June 30.
