Hartford, CT – Cool, damp weather will continue across Connecticut through Tuesday, keeping high temperatures stuck in the 60s as a stretch of unsettled weather lingers into midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in New York, light rain and persistent cloud cover will cap temperatures well below seasonal averages on Tuesday, with Hartford, Waterbury, and Norwich all expected to top out near 64°F. Along the shoreline, New Haven and New London may stay closer to 62°F, while Bridgeport could remain in the upper 50s.

The cool-down began Monday as highs across the state stayed mostly in the low to mid-60s amid on-and-off rain showers. That pattern will persist Tuesday, affecting both early commuters and afternoon travel. Limited sunshine and light wind will keep conditions feeling damp throughout the day.

Drivers should remain cautious on wet roads, particularly during the morning rush. Residents are encouraged to delay yardwork and limit outdoor plans, as intermittent showers could redevelop in the afternoon.

This stretch of below-normal temperatures is expected to last through at least Wednesday. Another update will be issued Tuesday evening if any advisories are upgraded or extended.
