Columbia, CT – Connecticut State Police are searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a gas station early Sunday morning.
The robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven located on Route 66 around 2:30 a.m. The suspect, described as a male approximately 5’10”, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey pants, black shoes, and gloves, entered the store and allegedly brandished a silver revolver. The suspect demanded money and cigarettes from the store clerk before fleeing on foot toward Route 66.
According to Connecticut State Police, the suspect was last seen running away from the store and may have escaped in a dark-colored SUV. No injuries were reported during the robbery, but authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Troop K at 860-465-5404.
