Hartford, CT – A freeze warning is in place for several counties in Connecticut, including Fairfield, Middlesex, and New Haven, starting at midnight and lasting until 9 a.m. Thursday. Temperatures could drop as low as 30°F, potentially causing damage to crops and sensitive vegetation.

According to the National Weather Service, frost and freeze conditions may also harm outdoor plumbing. Residents should take precautions to protect plants and water systems before temperatures plunge overnight.

The warning covers much of northern Connecticut, where frost risks have increased due to cooler seasonal weather.
