Hartford, CT – The National Weather Service reported that Hartford experienced the warmest July in its history, setting new temperature records. This trend is expected to continue into August, bringing persistent heat to the region.

Hartford’s mean temperature for July reached 78.6°F, breaking the previous record of 77.7°F set in 2020. The city recorded a high of 96°F on July 15, marking one of the hottest days of the month. The average low temperature was also significantly higher at 68.9°F, indicating warmer nights.

According to the National Weather Service, Hartford also saw increased precipitation, with 4.84 inches of rain, slightly above the normal 4.17 inches. Despite this, the intense heat remains the primary concern for residents.

The forecast for the upcoming week predicts continued high temperatures. Today, Hartford will see a high of 92°F, followed by 91°F on Friday. The weekend may bring some relief with scattered thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday, reducing temperatures to the mid-80s.
