Pittsburgh, PA – The Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media will host their annual yART sale Saturday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1047 Shady Avenue.
The yART sale, part yard sale and part art show, features more than 30 artists selling items and materials, along with live music. Food and drink will be available from Pittsburgh’s first African food truck, Kilimanjaro Flavor, local brewery Two Frays, and Frios Gourmet Pops.
A few notable vendors include Squirrel Hill Design & Craft, strawberryluna, Mere Mud Ceramics. Many sellers have unique stories that brought them to Pittsburgh and are eager to share them with the community.
Nonprofits such as Just Harvest, the League of Women Voters, and Artists in Schools & Communities will also have tables at the event. Calliope, a nonprofit that preserves and promotes traditional Western Pennsylvanian folk music, will provide live performances.
The Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting communities through arts exposure and education. The yART gives Pittsburgh’s artist community a chance to share their work, ideas, and stories with the public.
The center’s 5th Annual Member & Student Exhibition will also be on display, marking the final opportunity to view pieces from more than 70 artists in the program.
“We envision an inclusive, creative, and connected region where artistic expression and cultural exchange are recognized as vital,” the center said in a statement.” In addition to the yART sale, the organization regularly offers classes, workshops, and camps throughout the year.
