Columbus, OH – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal hit-skip crash that occurred around 4:58 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, on Westerville Road just south of Innis Road.
According to the sheriff’s office, witnesses reported that a dark four-door sedan traveling southbound struck two adult females walking in the roadway before fleeing the scene.
Deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Clinton Township Police, and emergency responders from Clinton Township Fire and Columbus Division of Fire all responded to the crash.
Both pedestrians were transported to Riverside Hospital in critical condition by Columbus Fire Medic 16 and Clinton Township Medic 61. Hospital staff later pronounced one of the women deceased at 5:48 a.m.
