These could bring brief downpours, small hail, and localized flooding in Richland, Lexington, and surrounding counties. High temperatures will hover in the upper 80s to low 90s before storms move in.
Rain is expected to be heaviest along the I-20 and I-26 corridors, where poor drainage could lead to standing water. Emergency managers urge residents to avoid driving through flooded roadways and to keep cell phones charged in case of power outages.
