After the confrontation, McNutt allegedly retrieved a firearm, returned to the victim—who was seated in a chair—and fired a single gunshot to the victim’s head without warning.

McNutt was arrested and is currently being held at the Columbia County Detention Facility on a charge of Attempted Second Degree Murder. Authorities emphasized there is no ongoing threat to the community related to this incident.
