Columbia County, FL – Three suspects, including a juvenile, are now in custody following an armed robbery that unfolded early Thursday morning in Lake City, according to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.

According to CCSO, deputies were called to a residence on SW Elizabeth Court at approximately 2:50 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026, after a reported armed robbery. Investigators say a male victim arranged to sell marijuana through Snapchat to someone known as “Trey.” When the suspect vehicle arrived, the victim reported that Trey exited and allegedly aimed a handgun at him while two masked males followed, demanding property at gunpoint.

Deputies said both victims were searched, and the male victim’s iPhone 16 and marijuana were stolen. During the incident, one suspect allegedly punched the female victim in the face before all suspects fled in a white vehicle.

Following an investigation and multiple search warrants, detectives identified Trey Micheal Jacobs, 21, of Lake City, as the primary suspect. With assistance from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Jacobs was located later that day and arrested in Columbia County. He was charged with robbery with a firearm, a first-degree felony, and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility with no bond.

Investigators later determined Jacobs’ girlfriend, Bridget Alexandria Butcher, 23, allegedly obstructed law enforcement by helping Jacobs evade arrest. Butcher was arrested Saturday, January 10, and charged with accessory after the fact, a third-degree felony.

A third suspect, identified as Camario Jamal Walker, 16, was later arrested Monday, January 12, and charged with robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Authorities say the stolen phone was recovered, two firearms were seized, and more than 120 rounds of ammunition were taken off the streets.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact CCSO at (386) 719-2005 or Crime Stoppers of Columbia County.
