Grand County, CO – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Grand and Summit counties until 5 a.m. Tuesday, with up to 8 inches of additional snowfall expected in eastern Grand County.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Denver, snow will continue to accumulate throughout the region, creating hazardous travel conditions. The heaviest snowfall is expected in the eastern portions of Grand County, while other areas could see lighter totals.
Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution, as snow-covered roads will make travel dangerous. Officials recommend checking road conditions by calling 511 or visiting www.cotrip.org before heading out.
This latest snowfall adds to an already active winter season in Colorado’s high country, where frequent storms have impacted travel and outdoor activities. Residents and visitors should prepare for difficult conditions through early Tuesday morning.
Authorities advise carrying winter survival kits, allowing extra travel time, and staying updated on changing weather conditions.
