Denver, CO – Northern Colorado residents are facing hazardous travel conditions as a winter weather advisory remains in effect for multiple regions, including Denver, Boulder, and Rocky Mountain National Park. The advisory is set to expire at various times, with the earliest ending at midnight Saturday and the latest continuing until 5 a.m. Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), snow totals will vary by location. The Northern Front Range Foothills, including Estes Park and Nederland, are expected to see accumulations of 4 to 10 inches. Areas below 9,000 feet in Grand and Summit Counties, such as Granby and Fraser, could see 4 to 8 inches, while higher elevations, like Rabbit Ears Pass and the Medicine Bow Range, may receive up to 12 inches.

Roads throughout the region are expected to be snow-covered and hazardous. The NWS advises drivers to slow down and allow extra time to reach their destinations. Travelers can check updated road conditions by dialing 511 or visiting cotrip.org.

Snowfall is anticipated to intensify overnight Friday into Saturday morning, particularly near the foothills. Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and prepare for potential disruptions to weekend activities.
