Denver, CO – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for several Colorado mountain regions, including Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Medicine Bow Range, as well as areas in Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks. Snow is expected to continue through 6 AM MDT on Wednesday, April 2, with additional accumulations ranging from one to three inches and winds gusting up to 40 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, the snowfall combined with strong winds could lead to slippery road conditions, particularly in higher elevations. Travelers in these areas are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and exercise caution, especially on roads prone to ice and snow buildup. The weather conditions may lead to slow and hazardous travel, and drivers are urged to be prepared for winter driving conditions.

As the storm impacts mountain routes, travelers are encouraged to check the Colorado Department of Transportation’s website at cotrip.org for real-time updates on road closures and traction requirements.
