Pueblo, CO – A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 5 p.m. MST Thursday for portions of southern Colorado, including the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Wet Mountains, Trinidad, and Walsenburg.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, an additional 1 to 2 inches of snow is expected, with wind gusts reaching up to 35 mph. The affected areas include elevations ranging from 6,300 to over 11,000 feet, impacting mountain passes and lower valleys.

Road conditions are expected to be hazardous, particularly along La Veta Pass, Poncha Pass, and routes in western Las Animas and Huerfano counties. Travelers are advised to drive cautiously as slippery conditions could disrupt the Thursday evening commute.
