Trinidad, CO – A winter storm watch has been issued for the Trinidad and Walsenburg areas, with heavy snow and gusty winds expected from Friday evening through Saturday afternoon. Total snow accumulation of up to 10 inches is possible in some areas, with gusts reaching 45 mph.
According to the National Weather Service, the storm is expected to impact the Walsenburg vicinity and the upper Huerfano River Basin below 7,500 feet, as well as the Trinidad vicinity and western Las Animas County.
