Pueblo, CO – Strong winds are sweeping across Pueblo this week, with gusts up to 30 mph expected through Sunday, creating challenging conditions for high-profile vehicles and outdoor activities.
According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, west winds today will reach 15 to 20 mph, increasing to gusts of 30 mph at times. Friday through Sunday will bring continued breezy conditions, with winds shifting between northwest and southwest directions and gusts remaining above 25 mph. Temperatures will climb into the upper 70s and low 80s, topping out at 81°F on Saturday and Sunday.
Residents from Pueblo West to Blende can expect clear skies and dry conditions, but should secure loose outdoor items and limit burning or open flames due to elevated fire danger. Highway travel on I-25 may be affected by crosswinds, especially for trucks and RVs.
A slight chance of thunderstorms returns late Monday night, potentially bringing a brief cooldown and increased cloud cover.
