According to the National Weather Service in Denver/Boulder, conditions will deteriorate after midday on Friday, July 11. Showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage by the evening. Rain chances sit at 60% for Friday night, with winds shifting from west to east and gusts possibly reaching 15 mph.
Saturday will follow a similar pattern, with partly sunny skies giving way to afternoon thunderstorms, again at a 50% probability. Highs will dip slightly into the low 80s, giving a brief respite from the heat. Sunday, however, cranks the heat back up to 92°F under mostly sunny skies, marking a hot, dry interlude before storms return.
