Denver, Colo. – Clear skies and warm afternoons will stretch across Denver through the weekend, but forecasters warn of a shift to stormier weather by Monday. Afternoon highs will hover in the low 80s with breezy winds at times, keeping conditions dry for outdoor events.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Friday and Saturday will remain mostly sunny with highs of 81 to 83 degrees and overnight lows dipping into the upper 40s and low 50s. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph on Saturday, particularly in the eastern plains.

By late Sunday, clouds begin to build, setting up a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday afternoon. Any storms that develop could bring brief downpours and gusty winds, but rainfall amounts are expected to remain light.

Travelers on I-25 and I-70 should prepare for reduced visibility in any pop-up storms Monday. Outdoor planners may want to keep a backup option indoors as conditions turn unsettled to start the week.

Clear and dry weather looks to return Tuesday with highs near 80, holding steady into midweek.
