Pueblo, Colo. – Colorado will see seasonably warm conditions Tuesday, with isolated to scattered afternoon thunderstorms developing mainly over the mountains. While storms will be weaker than those in recent days, lightning and gusty winds remain the main hazards, with rainfall expected to be light.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, high temperatures today will run near or just below seasonal averages across most locations. Storm activity will focus on the high terrain, with the plains expected to stay mostly dry. Drivers and hikers in mountain areas should be alert for rapid weather changes and avoid exposed areas during lightning activity.

Hotter and drier weather is expected Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures climbing several degrees above average. Isolated mountain storms will remain possible, but the better chance for more widespread thunderstorm activity will return by Friday.
