According to the US National Weather Service Denver/Boulder, today’s high temperatures will reach the mid-90s in lower elevations and higher in some areas. Fort Collins and Boulder can expect highs around 97°F, while Denver will peak at 96°F. Castle Rock and Colorado Springs will see slightly cooler temperatures at 90°F and 93°F, respectively.

As the week progresses, the heat will intensify. Friday will bring even hotter conditions, with temperatures soaring above 100°F across many areas. Denver is forecasted to hit 101°F, while Fort Collins and Greeley are expected to see highs of 99°F and 98°F, respectively.

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory, effective through Monday. Residents are urged to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours. Air quality is currently good, with an index of 47, but it’s advised to monitor for updates.

By the weekend, the intense heat will continue, with temperatures remaining around 100°F on Saturday and Sunday. Early next week, a slight dip in temperatures is anticipated, with highs returning to the upper 80s by Tuesday. Despite this brief relief, the mid-week will see temperatures climbing again, suggesting a persistently warm July for Colorado.
