Colorado Weather: Isolated Thunderstorms Friday, Gusty Winds in Northeast

Denver, CO – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe weather alert for northeast Colorado, warning of isolated thunderstorms and gusty outflow winds expected today. The main threats include hail up to 1.50 inches in diameter and wind gusts reaching 70 mph.

According to the NWS Denver/Boulder, while the highest severe threat will be across the northeast plains this afternoon, gusty winds are anticipated throughout the urban corridor and mountain regions. These conditions could lead to localized damage and power outages.

Today’s forecast for Denver shows a high of 92°F with sunny skies. As the weekend progresses, temperatures are expected to cool slightly, with a high of 83°F on Saturday and 93°F on Sunday. Monday will bring partly cloudy skies with a high of 89°F, followed by sunny weather for the rest of the week, with temperatures ranging from the high 80s to low 90s.
