Pueblo, Colo. – Mild fall weather across southern Colorado will give way to cooler, wetter conditions late this week as a weak system moves in from the west. Clouds will thicken tonight, followed by a chance of light rain showers Thursday and mountain snow by early Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, temperatures will remain pleasant through Thursday afternoon with highs in the mid-60s for Pueblo and near 60°F in Colorado Springs. Rain chances increase Thursday evening, especially along the I-25 corridor, with higher elevation snow showers likely across the Wet Mountains, Sangre de Cristo Range, and Pikes Peak region.

By Friday, highs will dip 5–10 degrees below midweek readings, topping out mainly in the 50s. Light accumulations of snow may coat peaks above 9,000 feet, while the plains see scattered showers and cooler breezes. Forecasters say travel impacts should be minimal but urge mountain drivers to watch for slick spots and reduced visibility early Friday.

Drier weather is expected to return for the weekend with sunshine and gradually warmer afternoons across the Arkansas Valley and eastern plains.
