Denver, Colo. – The National Weather Service in Denver/Boulder says sunshine returns today, but temperatures will remain 10 degrees below normal, with highs only in the 30s on the plains and 20s in the mountains. Morning lows dipped into the single digits and teens, and patchy fog in mountain valleys is expected to clear by mid-morning.
A warmer Tuesday is forecast, with light snow showers developing in the northern mountains and gusty winds along the Front Range.
The next widespread snow event is expected to begin late Tuesday night and continue through Wednesday, possibly bringing the most significant snow accumulation of the season so far. Travelers should prepare for a slick and slow Wednesday morning commute, particularly along the I-25 corridor.
