Colorado Springs, CO – After a frigid start to the weekend, Colorado Springs is in for a significant warm-up. However, increasing winds will create challenges for outdoor plans and travel.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will be sunny with a high near 58°F, but winds from the northwest could reach 15 mph in the afternoon. A brief cooldown is expected Sunday night, with lows dipping to 38°F and increasing cloud cover.

Monday marks the warmest day of the week, with highs climbing to 65°F under mostly sunny skies. Winds will shift to the southeast by the afternoon, but overall conditions remain favorable. Tuesday brings another mild day at 63°F, though breezy conditions will develop, with gusts reaching up to 35 mph.

By midweek, temperatures drop slightly, with highs near 52°F on Wednesday and 57°F on Thursday. Winds will remain a factor, shifting from northwest to south later in the week.

Residents should stay prepared for changing conditions, especially with Tuesday’s strong winds. Secure outdoor items and drive cautiously on open roadways, particularly along I-25 and Highway 24, where gusts may impact visibility.
