Denver, CO – A powerful winter storm will hit Colorado late Tuesday, bringing heavy snow, dangerously cold temperatures, and hazardous travel conditions. Commuters should prepare for slick roads and reduced visibility, especially along I-70 and I-25.

According to the National Weather Service, snow will begin Tuesday afternoon, intensifying overnight into Wednesday morning. Accumulations could reach 6 inches in Denver and up to 10 inches in higher elevations. Wind chills will drop into the single digits by Wednesday morning, with some areas seeing below-zero readings.

Northern and central Colorado, including Boulder, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs, will experience the brunt of the storm. Arctic air will persist through Thursday, keeping high temperatures in the teens and low 20s.

Motorists should allow extra time for travel and use caution on highways, especially in mountain passes. School closures and delays may be announced as conditions worsen.

The forecast remains active, with another round of snow possible by Friday. Residents should monitor local updates and prepare for prolonged winter weather.
