Pueblo, CO – Southern Colorado will see warmer and drier conditions heading into the weekend, with the warmest days expected Thursday and Friday before a slight cool-down and chance of isolated storms on Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service Pueblo office, the plains will climb into the upper 70s to mid-80s by Friday, with sunny skies dominating. Overnight lows will hover in the 40s to low 50s, making for mild evenings across the lower elevations.

The mountain valleys, however, will start with areas of frost Wednesday morning before warming steadily into the low to mid-70s by Friday. Lows will remain chilly, dipping into the 30s and low 40s overnight.

Across the high mountains, daytime highs will range from the upper 40s Wednesday to the low 70s by Friday. Overnight lows are expected to dip into the upper 20s to mid-30s, with mostly clear skies providing crisp autumn weather.

Forecasters noted that isolated convection could return to higher terrain on Saturday, bringing a small chance of showers or brief storms. A slight cooling trend is expected into the weekend, with most areas seeing temperatures drop by a few degrees compared to Friday’s highs.

Residents planning outdoor activities are advised to prepare for warm afternoons on the plains and cooler mornings in the high country, especially where frost is possible.
