Denver, CO – A mix of mountain snow, plains rain, and gusty winds is expected across Colorado today, Monday, October 27, 2025, according to the National Weather Service in Denver/Boulder.
Forecasters say a low-pressure system will move through the region, producing light snow in the mountains and showers and storms across the eastern plains by this afternoon and evening. Wind gusts could reach up to 50 mph in higher elevations and within thunderstorms, making travel potentially difficult on mountain passes and open plains.
Morning fog is anticipated across the eastern plains, followed by mild and windy conditions before showers and storms develop later in the day. Western mountain areas including Aspen, Breckenridge, and Kremmling may see up to an inch of snow accumulation through early Tuesday.
Meanwhile, parts of the southern plains near Colorado Springs and Limon face increased fire danger due to dry air and strong winds. High temperatures will range from the 40s in the high country to the 60s and 70s east of I-25, forecasters said.
Residents are advised to secure outdoor items, allow extra travel time in mountain areas, and stay alert for changing conditions throughout the day.
