Grand Junction, CO – Warm and sunny weather will dominate western Colorado through midweek, with daytime highs climbing into the mid-70s across several cities, including Grand Junction.
According to the National Weather Service Grand Junction office, high pressure and light winds are pushing temperatures 5 degrees above seasonal averages. Monday’s forecast shows Grand Junction reaching 71°F, followed by a peak of 75°F on Tuesday and highs near 77°F on both Wednesday and Thursday.
Neighboring cities are experiencing similar spring-like warmth. Durango will reach 66°F Monday with temperatures rising to 73°F by Thursday. Gunnison will warm from the upper 40s Sunday to nearly 60°F by midweek. Across the border, Vernal, Utah, will see highs in the low 70s through Thursday.
Skies will remain mostly sunny with occasional cloud cover, especially into Tuesday morning. NWS forecasters noted that a weak disturbance will pass north of the region but is not expected to significantly affect conditions locally.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the mild weather but remain cautious with fire safety, as dry air and warm conditions elevate fire risk. No major precipitation is expected through Thursday, keeping roads clear and travel conditions favorable across the region.
