Pueblo, CO – The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a Frost Advisory for northern El Paso County, including the Black Forest area, in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. MDT Friday.

The advisory, released at 10:06 p.m. MDT on Thursday, October 16, 2025, warns that temperatures could fall to around 28°F, leading to widespread frost formation across elevated and sheltered areas below 7,500 feet in the Rampart Range and Monument Ridge region.

According to forecasters, the cold temperatures may damage or kill sensitive outdoor plants if left uncovered. Residents are urged to cover tender vegetation, bring potted plants indoors, and avoid watering late tonight to minimize frost buildup.

The frost threat is expected to subside after sunrise Friday as temperatures gradually rise through the morning hours. Gardeners and growers are reminded that this event could mark the end of the growing season for portions of El Paso County.
