Denver, CO – Denver is bracing for another day of scorching heat as temperatures are expected to soar into the upper 90s, with some areas possibly hitting 100 degrees. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a heat advisory for Tuesday, urging residents to take precautions.

According to the NWS, temperatures along the I-25 corridor and across the plains are likely to remain in the mid to upper 90s throughout the week, with a few spots, including Sterling, potentially reaching 100 degrees on Tuesday afternoon. The heat is predicted to gradually decline as the week progresses, with more significant relief anticipated by the weekend.

Tuesday’s high is forecasted to reach 96 degrees in Denver. On Wednesday, temperatures will dip slightly to 92 degrees. Thursday will continue the cooling trend, with highs around 89 degrees. Friday will see temperatures around 88 degrees, and Saturday is expected to be the coolest day with a high of 83 degrees. By Sunday, temperatures will rise slightly to 90 degrees.

The NWS advises residents to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activities during peak heat, and seek air-conditioned environments when possible. It’s safer to engage in outdoor activities during early mornings and evenings when temperatures are lower.

Sterling and other areas along the I-25 corridor are among the hottest spots this week. The extended heatwave poses risks, particularly to vulnerable populations such as the elderly and young children.
