Pueblo, CO – Residents of southern and central Colorado can expect a mild start to the week with mostly sunny skies and near-normal temperatures Monday and Tuesday before a shift in conditions brings light snow and wind by midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will see daytime highs of 44–51 degrees across the Plains, 40–48 degrees in the Mountain Valleys, and cooler 29–47 degrees in the Mountains. Winds remain calm with little chance for precipitation. Tuesday will bring a slight temperature boost, reaching 55–57 degrees in lower elevations, while Mountain regions stay in the mid-20s to upper 40s.

However, conditions will change by Tuesday evening as a system moves in, impacting higher elevations and the I-25 corridor. The NWS forecasts light snow showers late Tuesday through Wednesday morning, with accumulations of up to 2 inches possible in areas like the Sawatch Range and Wet Mountains. Travelers should prepare for slick roads and reduced visibility, especially across mountain passes.

Winds are expected to pick up midweek, with gusts reaching 40–50 mph at higher elevations. The forecast shows partly cloudy skies Wednesday with highs between 48–55 degrees in Pueblo and surrounding areas, while mountain regions will remain colder at 30–47 degrees.

Drivers along major routes, including I-25 and Highway 50, should exercise caution during snow periods and check for updates on road conditions. Those planning travel through mountain passes are advised to leave early and allow extra time.

As the week progresses, conditions will stabilize, with mostly sunny skies expected Thursday and warming temperatures nearing 65 degrees across the Plains.
