Denver, CO – Residents across Colorado can expect a shift in weather conditions early this week, with showers, thunderstorms, and even mountain snow in the forecast. Seasonal temperatures will continue through Monday before a cooler pattern arrives Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Denver/Boulder, scattered afternoon showers and a few thunderstorms are possible Monday, mainly across higher terrain. By Monday night into Tuesday, rain and storms will spread more widely across the region, bringing snow to elevations above 10,000 feet.

High temperatures for the Denver metro will hover in the mid-70s through Monday before dipping into the upper 60s by Tuesday. Mountain towns such as Estes Park and Breckenridge are forecast to see daytime highs in the 50s and 60s, while areas on the plains, including Fort Morgan and Sterling, will remain in the 70s.

Forecasters note that storm chances will increase through Monday evening, potentially impacting commuters and outdoor plans. Cooler air will settle in Tuesday, reinforcing the shift toward fall-like conditions across much of Colorado.

Travelers heading into the mountains should be prepared for changing conditions and possible slick roads above timberline as snow develops overnight Monday into Tuesday.
