Grand Junction, Colorado – Critical fire weather conditions will impact western Colorado and eastern Utah through Thursday evening. High temperatures, strong winds, and very low humidity create a heightened risk of wildfire spread.

This alert covers the Lower Colorado River Valley, including areas around Grand Junction, and extends into eastern Utah. Winds between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph, are expected, particularly in the afternoon. Relative humidity will drop to 5-10 percent.
