Colorado Springs, CO –
Colorado greets the day with clear skies and a brisk 29°F morning — a still calm before a dramatic November shift. This week brings a mix of late-fall warmth and early-winter hints, starting with sunshine for Veterans Day before a colder, stormier setup moves in by Friday.
According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, Veterans Day will bring near-perfect weather for ceremonies and outdoor gatherings, with highs around 70°F and light west winds. Skies remain mostly sunny through midweek as temperatures hold in the upper 60s. But by Thursday night, a cold front begins pushing across southern Colorado, bringing gusty winds and falling temperatures into the low 30s.
Rain may begin late Thursday, transitioning to snow showers Friday morning as colder air deepens across the Front Range. Highs could dip nearly 25 degrees from earlier in the week, landing in the mid-40s Friday with gusts near 20 mph. Light snow accumulation appears possible along higher ridges west of the city, with slick spots forming on I-25 and U.S. 24 during the morning commute.
Looking beyond Friday, colder nights near freezing will settle in through the weekend, followed by a gradual rebound into the 50s. For now, Colorado Springs residents can enjoy one more burst of fall sunshine before the first true taste of winter arrives.
