Pueblo, CO – A powerful spring storm will bring heavy snow and strong winds to Colorado starting Thursday and lasting through Friday. Mountain areas, particularly the eastern San Juan Mountains, could see over six inches of snow.
According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, the storm will also bring rain and strong winds to the plains by Friday. These winds could be potentially damaging and create hazardous travel conditions, especially in the Palmer Divide region.
Forecasters say the storm track is still uncertain, which could impact snowfall totals and wind strength. Colder temperatures may determine whether areas see rain or snow.
Residents should stay updated on forecasts and prepare for hazardous travel. Even light amounts of wind-driven snow can create dangerous conditions. Check road conditions before traveling and allow extra time for delays.
