Denver, CO – Colorado residents are bracing for a snowstorm expected to arrive Thursday morning and last through the night. The National Weather Service has issued a snow alert for multiple regions, with light snow anticipated in the plains and mixed rain in certain areas.

According to the National Weather Service, the mountains are expected to see accumulating snow starting Thursday morning, with hazardous travel conditions. The Palmer Divide and areas along I-70 east of Denver may experience slick roads, increasing the risks for drivers. Snow totals of 3 to 4 inches are predicted in some mountainous regions.

The plains, including the Urban Corridor, will see lighter snow with mixed rain during the day Thursday. Minimal impacts are expected in urban areas, but drivers are urged to remain cautious. Light snow could persist into Thursday night, though the impact will be less severe.

Looking ahead, the storm will continue through Friday morning, bringing more snow to the Front Range Mountains, Foothills, and Palmer Divide. Travelers are encouraged to check road conditions before heading out, especially along highways in the foothills and higher elevations.
