Pueblo, CO – Critical fire weather conditions are expected Tuesday, with a Red Flag Warning in effect across parts of southern Colorado.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, dry, windy, and warm conditions will continue, creating an environment favorable for rapid wildfire growth and spread.

Forecasters say southwest wind gusts could reach up to 45 mph, while humidity levels may drop as low as 9 to 15 percent. These conditions significantly increase the risk of fires starting and spreading quickly, especially along and east of the Interstate 25 corridor.

Officials urge residents to avoid any activities that could spark a fire, including outdoor burning, and to follow all local restrictions.

The Red Flag Warning is expected to remain in effect through Tuesday evening, covering a large portion of the region.

These conditions may impact outdoor workers, travelers, and communities in fire-prone areas.
