Denver, Colorado – Extreme heat will push temperatures into the mid-90s across the I-25 Corridor today, with widespread highs soaring above 100°F Friday and Saturday. This dangerous heat wave brings significant risks, especially for those working outdoors or without adequate cooling.

According to the US National Weather Service Denver/Boulder Colorado, a Heat Advisory is in effect for Friday and Saturday. Denver is expected to reach 100°F on Friday and 99°F on Saturday, while Fort Morgan and Sterling could see temperatures as high as 104°F and 101°F respectively. Highs across the plains and the I-25 corridor will be at or above 100 degrees through Saturday.

Residents should take precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day, and seek shade or air-conditioned environments. Check on elderly neighbors and those without air conditioning to ensure their safety. Never leave children or pets unattended in vehicles, as interior temperatures can rapidly become fatal. Relief from the intense heat is expected by Monday.
