Pueblo, CO – Warmer and mostly dry conditions are expected across southern Colorado heading into the weekend, though mountain residents should prepare for the return of scattered showers and storms by Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, Thursday will bring highs in the 60s and 70s across the plains, with partly cloudy skies. Mountain valleys may see morning frost, while the mountains stay cooler with highs in the 40s to low 60s.

By Friday, conditions remain sunny and dry for most of the region. The plains are forecast to warm into the upper 70s and low 80s, while the mountain valleys reach the mid-70s. Mountain highs will stay cooler in the 50s, with no precipitation expected.

The weekend outlook shows continued warmth, especially across the plains, where temperatures could climb near 87 degrees on Saturday under mostly sunny skies. However, the National Weather Service warns that showers and thunderstorms may develop Friday night along the Continental Divide, with increasing chances over higher terrain Saturday.

Residents in mountain areas are advised to stay weather-aware, as changing conditions could impact outdoor recreation and travel.
