PUEBLO, Colo. — The National Weather Service in Pueblo says Tuesday (Dec. 2) will bring a brief warm-up and mostly sunny skies before the next storm system moves in, bringing increasing clouds and snow showers to the mountains by late afternoon.
🌤️ Tuesday Forecast Highlights
- Morning: Mostly sunny and mild.
- Afternoon: Clouds increase, with snow showers developing over the central mountains.
- Temperatures: Highs will climb well above freezing, reaching the 40s and 50s on the plains, and 30s to low 40s in mountain valleys.
❄️ Midweek Snow Returns
- Tuesday Night: Snow spreads across the higher elevations.
- Wednesday into Wednesday Night: Widespread light to moderate snow expected across much of southern and central Colorado.
- Thursday Morning: Snow tapers to flurries, mainly in the mountains.
🏔️ Travel Impacts
- Mountain passes could see slick and snow-covered roads by late Tuesday night.
- Eastern plains will stay dry through most of Tuesday, with colder, unsettled weather returning midweek.
After a brief taste of milder weather, winter conditions will return midweek, marking another round of accumulating snow for the mountains and cooler temperatures area-wide heading into Thursday.
