Saturday’s weather forecast for Colorado brings a mix of sun and clouds, but the main concern is elevated fire weather conditions. With humidity expected to drop as low as 10%, the National Weather Service has issued a fire weather warning for the eastern plains, where breezy conditions will further heighten the risk. Winds could pick up this afternoon, reaching speeds of 10 to 15 mph, creating a volatile situation for wildfires to spread rapidly.

According to the National Weather Service in Denver, residents in affected areas, especially near I-70 and the far eastern plains, should avoid outdoor activities that involve open flames or sparks. Humidity levels will remain low through the day, and fire officials recommend postponing any outdoor burning until safer weather conditions return. Today’s temperatures are expected to climb into the 80s across the urban corridor, with slightly cooler highs in the mountains and valleys, ranging between 58 and 75 degrees.

Looking ahead, Sunday will see temperatures cooling slightly to the mid-70s, with sunny skies throughout the day. Columbus Day (Monday) is forecasted to be sunny with highs near 80. Winds may calm after the weekend, reducing the fire risk temporarily, but conditions could remain dry.
