Julesburg, CO – Residents in northeast Colorado should brace for dangerously cold temperatures as an Extreme Cold Warning is in effect from 10 p.m. Monday until 11 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Denver.

Wind chills in Sedgwick and Phillips counties, including Julesburg and Holyoke, could reach as low as -30°F, posing a severe risk of frostbite within 10 minutes of exposure.

The NWS advises limiting outdoor activity, dressing in multiple warm layers, and ensuring pets and livestock have adequate shelter. Residents should also take precautions to prevent pipes from freezing.
