Colorado Springs, CO – A winter storm is moving into the region, bringing snow and hazardous travel conditions to the I-25 corridor and Pikes Peak area Thursday evening into Friday morning.
According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Northern El Paso County from 5 p.m. Thursday through 8 a.m. Friday. Snow accumulations will be heaviest in Teller and Northern El Paso counties, making travel dangerous for the Friday morning commute.
Drivers are urged to use caution as slick roads and reduced visibility could lead to delays. Snowfall is expected to taper off by midday Friday, with cold temperatures lingering into the weekend.
