Denver, CO – Central and northwestern Colorado are under a fire weather alert due to anticipated isolated dry thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center issued the warning, noting that these thunderstorms, driven by mid-level moisture, will likely bring little measurable rainfall. With precipitable water values between 0.50-0.75 inches and gusty winds, fire-prone areas could see rapid fire development.

Residents in affected regions are advised to prepare for potential fire outbreaks and stay updated on weather conditions.
