Colorado and Wyoming Residents on Alert for Severe Thunderstorms: 2-Inch Hail Possible

Denver, CO – A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of northern Colorado and eastern Wyoming, warning residents of potential large hail and strong winds. The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center has identified the risk of severe thunderstorms developing across this region.

According to the NOAA NWS Storm Prediction Center, the watch is in effect until 9:00 PM MDT on Friday. The thunderstorms may produce hail up to 2 inches in diameter and wind gusts reaching up to 70 mph. There is also a possibility of isolated tornadoes.

Residents are advised to stay informed of weather updates and to take precautions to protect themselves and their property. The severe weather could cause significant damage, particularly from large hail and strong winds. Vehicles should be moved to sheltered areas, and outdoor items secured.
