Little Rock, AR – Another round of below-freezing temperatures is set to sweep across Arkansas overnight Monday into Tuesday, bringing one of the coldest mornings so far this fall.
According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, lows are expected to fall into the mid-20s to lower 30s statewide by Tuesday morning, November 11. Areas across northern and central Arkansas, including Fayetteville, Russellville, and Conway, could see morning readings as low as 25–28°F, while southern Arkansas will hover near the freezing mark.
The cold snap is the result of a strong high-pressure system settling over the region, bringing clear skies and light winds that allow temperatures to plummet overnight. Residents are urged to protect pets, pipes, and plants from the freezing conditions.
Despite the frigid start, temperatures are expected to gradually warm through midweek, with highs climbing back into the 60s by Thursday and Friday. The NWS notes that no additional freeze warnings are expected once the warming trend begins.
